Our Story
After years of working in the emergency department as an RN, our founder, Kathy Keeney, noticed a gap in the market: people wanted expert, results-driven treatments in a space that felt stylish, safe, and empowering—not clinical or intimidating. She wanted to create the kind of place she wished existed.
The turning point came when a client shared that Boss Gal made her feel seen, confident, and in control of her own beauty journey. That moment confirmed that we were building something bigger than a med spa—we were creating a movement of empowerment and excellence in self-care.

Kathy Keeney

Kathy Keeney is the visionary founder and CEO of Boss Gal Beauty Bar, Columbus’s award-winning luxury medical spa. With a passion for aesthetics, innovation, and empowerment, Kathy built Boss Gal to redefine the medspa experience combining cutting-edge treatments with a welcoming, elevated environment that makes clients feel both confident and cared for.
Under her leadership, Boss Gal has grown into multiple thriving locations and has earned recognition as a Top Small Business by Columbus CEO, as well as accolades from national skincare and aesthetic partners. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trent University, Kathy is also a national trainer for Galderma, where she shares her expertise with other providers across the country.
More than a business owner, Kathy is deeply committed to her community, her team, and her clients. She leads with authenticity, creativity, and a relentless drive to set new standards in the aesthetics industry—always with the goal of helping others look and feel their best.
