It’s finally October and spooky season has arrived! With Halloween around the corner, this month is filled with fun activities such as haunted houses and hayrides, scary movies, trick or treat, and carving pumpkins. At Boss Gal, it’s our favorite time of year, Shed the Dead season! This means we are getting chemical peels to shed all of our sun damaged, dead skin from the summer. Who wouldn’t want even, glowing skin for the holidays?! In September, we launched the VI Peel and everyone at Boss Gal has been loving it!
What is a VI Peel?
VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel designed to be virtually painless and unlike any other chemical peels. The VI Peel Blends include Retinoic Acid, TCA, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, and Ascorbic Acid. VI Peel Original is going to help improve the tone, texture, and clarity of the skin and provide anti-aging benefits. It’s also great for sensitive skin and first-time peels!
VI Peel Precision Plus is going to be best for concerns of UV-induced hyperpigmentation, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This includes their Lighten and Brighten Boosters to target stubborn pigment.
VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus unclogs pores and reduces acne-causing bacteria in the skin. It also helps with other concerns such as excessively oily skin, acne scarring, and hyperpigmentation, making it perfect for adults with active acne or acne scarring.
What to Expect After Your VI Peel
A take home kit is also included with your peel and has everything you’ll need for your skin over the next week. You may feel some itchiness the first day or two, this is completely normal and expected. Most people will experience some shedding or sheet peeling (head over to our socials to see peeling progress photos of our staff!) but if you don’t peel it doesn’t mean it didn’t work, you may just be well exfoliated – the peel still exfoliates at a cellular level.
